Installing the macOS client

Download the .dmg, drop it into Applications, and approve the VPN profile.

Steps

  1. Open the Download page and click the macOS button.
  2. Double-click Logrus.dmg and drag the icon into Applications.
  3. Open Logrus. macOS will ask permission to create a VPN configuration — enter the admin password.
  4. Sign in. Click Connect.

Menu bar mode

By default Logrus lives in the menu bar at the top right. Click it to open a compact window with the Connect button and server picker. Works without the main window — handy on small screens.

Known issues

  • macOS 15+ and Network Extension: after install, explicitly enable Logrus in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Network Extensions.
  • TUN breaks after sleep/wake: temporary issue, fix in progress. Workaround — click Disconnect → Connect after waking up.

Menu bar only mode

If you don't want a Dock icon:

  • Settings → General → Interface mode → Menu bar only.
